International Women's Day feels like bittersweet remembrance of the sacred magic we bring to the world. The women we come from, look up to, and love as friends ✨

I do not bear the label of womanhood lightly. I'm lucky my dad protected and prepared me to navigate a white man's world. Women have hurt me in unconscionable ways, and I've long felt my body betray my femininity. Yet women's circles have empowered me through significant illnesses, severe bullying, whirlwind dating, and healing relational trauma. My sisterhood with other women uplifts me with joy and laughter, energizes my sensuality, and connects me to the woman I am. My loyal girlfriends fiercely believe in me, celebrate my successes, and encourage my dreams. They witness my pain and cheer on my growth, serving as loving mirrors who help me see blind spots but also feel seen and understood. And they deeply inspire me by being and becoming their most sovereign selves 👸🏻👸🏼👸🏾👸🏽 I hope I hold space for them to rise and shine as generously! It's such a privilege to share life with you ladies ♥️

Call a woman you cherish today and tell her how much she means to you 💖
